Background
My eldest daughter absolutely loves Pokémon!
When she was about 2 years old, we began watching the original Indigo League series. Since then she has grown up watching the various different series and movies with her love growing ever more.
As her 7th birthday approached, we decided that it would be a good time for a themed birthday party.
With that, comes birthday invitations.
Designing Pokémon birthday party invitations
There’s nothing quite like arts and crafts, so I figured why not create your own themed party invitations. It’s great fun and you can get the kids involved too.
For the design, I wanted to come up with a simple concept that was instantly recognisable.
The front needed to incorporate what’s happening, when, where and an option for RSVP. To make it instantly recognisable who better to use than the poster child of Pokémon; Pikachu!
For the back, I decided to use simple shapes on a black background to create the shape of a pokéball.

In conclusion, this was great fun, even though it was incredible time consuming. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to add a personal touch to a birthday party.
