Sonic The Hedgehog is one of my all time favourite characters. In fact, he’s my absolute favourite.
This guy is the reason I wanted to run fast when I was a kid. He’s also the first character I learnt to draw at age 5.
Everything about him is cool and fun.
Of course, the timing coincided with the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 2. A game I played many times on the Sega Mega Drive.
Subsequently, reminiscing about my past has encouraged me to produce a new drawing of such an important character from my childhood.

My thoughts:
Firstly, I really enjoyed drawing one of my old favourites. I get a bit of nostalgia just thinking about Sonic and his blazing speed.
More importantly, I need to focus on my shading and control of the Sharpie pen. Even on the picture above, I can see where my lines aren’t as smooth as they need to be. This will get better the more I practice.
