After all the fun with Super Mario during the New Year, we’ve been incorporating a few different Mario-related bits at home.
Quick parental tip
Before we begin, I found a great way to get my girls dressed quickly in the morning. My secret? Play the “Running Out Of Time” music from the Super Mario Bros. game:
Not only did the girls get dressed within the 2 minute timeframe, they were also getting breakfast too π
Secondly, we’ve been adding some drawings to our scrapbooks:
Daniel’s (33) Super Mario drawing

Overall, I was happy with the end result. The drawing came out really well.
Unfortunately, I probably used the wrong tool for colouring in; felt tip pen. My Mario has been sunning himself too much. A point my wife Ting loves to point out π In future, I will use crayons.

Lucy’s (7) drawing

Mario’s front foot is actually placed in front of his body when I actually sketched it behind. Unfortunately, when I used the Sharpie I did the foot first. π¬
My younger sister made the same mistake a few minutes earlier. π€¦ββοΈ
I did the shading under Mario before I did the ground, so that’s a bit disappointing.
I’m really happy with the ‘M’ on Mario’s cap.

Belle’s (5) drawing

I didn’t like doing his top hand and I don’t think it came out as I’d hoped. Drawing his hat and the other hand were really fun.
I loved one shoe but not the other one.
Overall, I’m really happy with my drawing π

To summarise, I’m really happy with the girls drawings. They put a lot of effort into their work and I think it shows.
Keep up the great work girls and keep practising!
